Ben & Steve’s Grad. Party

On this glorious, hot and sunny Saturday, we celebrated our little Jones babies finishing high school.

The party was very fun, especially the part where I got to spend time with my family 🙂 There were walking tacos and melon to eat, lemonade and tea to drink, and ladderball to play. In a round-table discussion, we (the sibs) decided that the uncles (i.e. John, Ben, and Steve) should move to Oregon to be fair. Mike and Sara get to keep their friends and parents, and I get the brothers. Sounds like a reasonable division of resources to me 😉

New Life: 6 days and Counting…

Now that I don’t have a pesky job interfering, I will try to update this blog regularly. Posts will definitely be more interesting in a week or so, though, because by then I WILL BE IN OREGON!!!

This week has been eventful, to say the least. Yesterday was the traditional Valleyfair field trip (including the traditional sunburn), followed by a last hurrah with the young teachers plus my little brother John! Today I woke up (too early!) for a sad day of packing up my classroom. My team and my school are just so awesome; it was very hard to say goodbye! However, I learned that if you’re crying, the check-out list with your administration goes way faster! 😉

Tomorrow we celebrate my baby brothers’ graduation; Steve’s was Wednesday, Ben’s was Thursday. I’m so proud of these two! They’re so different, and yet so awesome. It’s supposed to be eight million degrees out, so that will make thing interesting!

Sunday is a third emotion-filled event: dinner at the in-law’s. Thank goodness they’re coming to visit so soon!

The icing on the cake of this week was finally selling the Corolla!!! Huzzah!!! All I have left now is to finish packing, empty out the house as best I can, and get on the train! Crazy!
